Scale

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 3 pounds lean ground sirloin (turkey, for those watching fat %)
  2. 1 small onion
  3. 12 ounce 1781 Original Red or our Bloody Mary Mix
  4. 1/2 Can Ranch Style Beans, Black Label (optional)
  5. 15 ounce can diced tomatoes, packed in their own juice
  6. 1 1/2 cups cup of tap water
  7. 1.4 ounce package Ben’s Chuckwagon chili Seasoning Mix
  1. Chop up the onion. Pour 1/2 cup of the water into the pot and then add the chopped onions. Cook this mixture for 10 minutes.
  2. Add the meat. The trick here is to cook the meat without stirring too much. (If you do the meat will turn to mush.) Just before the meat is fully cooked, add all the Chuckwagon Chili Seasoning in and stir gently 7 to 8 times around the pot.
  3. Add Ben Jack Larado’s Bloody Mary Mix, the tomatoes, and 1 cup of the water. Stir gently 6 to 8 times around the pot. Bring to a low simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Add the remaining water & the Ranch Style Beans. Simmer slowly for about an hour. Stir again 5 or 6 times around the pot and then turn the heat off from under the pot. Do not stir, letting the Chili set for a few minutes. Remove any access fat from the meat and then serve!
